Shaan Shahid was born on April 27, 1971, Lahore, Pakistan to Riaz Shahid and Neelo. His father was a filmmaker and where the mother was a film actress. Riaz Shahid was a Muslim but the mother was a Christian later she embraced Islam.
Shaan studied at Aitchison College where he engaged in acting. Later Shaan moved to the United States and admitted into Newton High School in pursuit of being a lawyer. He stayed here for seven years comes to Pakistan on vacation and obtained the family business Film.

Shaan Shahid made his film debut with the movie ‘Bulandi’ in 1990 with co-actress Reema Khan just after returning Pakistan at 19. The actor appeared in more than 100 Urdu and Punjabi film and considered as one of the most influential actors in the showbiz arena of Pakistan. After a long break, he comes to the media arena with the movie ‘Majajan’ with Samia in 2006.
Following the year, he starred in the movie ‘Khuda Ke Liye’ with co-artists Fawad Khan and Iman Ali. In 2009, Shaan acted in the blockbuster Punjabi language movie ‘Zill-e-Shah’ with co-actress Noor Bukhari. Then the actor showed off terrific acting performance in the action thriller movie ‘Waar’ in 2013 with Shamoon Abbasi. Following the year, he acted in the spy thriller movie ‘O21’ with Aamina Sheikh and Shamoon Abbasi.
