She made her acting debut in the film industry with the movie ‘Hemanter Pakhi’ in 2001. Swastika Mukherjee married singer Pramit Sen in 1998 and the couple has a daughter named Anwesha born in 2000. The marriage was unhappy after two years together they called it over. Later she dated with Parambrata Chatterjee although she was legally wife of Pramit Sen. Finally they separated in 2010 when Parambrata moved to London.
Controversies:
Swastika Mukherjee was hospitalized for an alleged suicide attempt. She was caught by CCTV in Singapore stealing gold worth $ 255 from a jewelry shop; later the shop owner filed a complaint against the actress.
